The timetable effective 5 September 2026 shows the first sailing from Hayling at 0740 Monday to Saturday and 0845 on Sundays, a single fare of £4.00, and bikes carried free. Hayling Ferry at a glance

The Hayling Ferry links Ferry Point, at the south west corner of Hayling Island, with Eastney in Portsmouth. Havant Borough Council says it runs daily at regular intervals, with a crossing time of only 5 minutes, and can save a long drive into Portsmouth via Havant. - Depart Hayling: 0740, 0805, 0845, 0935, 1020, 1105, 1150, 1235, 1320, 1405, 1450, 1540, 1640, 1740, 1840.
- Depart Eastney: 0755, 0825, 0900, 0955, 1040, 1125, 1210, 1255, 1340, 1425, 1515, 1600, 1700, 1800, 1900.

Sundays and public holidays
- Depart Hayling: 0845, 0935, 1020, 1105, 1150, 1235, 1320, 1405, 1450, 1540, 1620, 1710, 1800, 1840.
- Depart Eastney: 0900, 0955, 1040, 1125, 1210, 1255, 1340, 1425, 1510, 1600, 1640, 1740, 1820, 1900.

The timetable says "crossings in blue link to 25 bus service". The colour does not come through in the text we could read, so check the PDF to see which crossings are marked. The ferry's website also has a service updates link, and sailings can be affected by weather, so check before a special trip.

Fares

The operator's fares sheet is marked "valid 3 April 2026 until further notice". The timetable gives the single crossing fare as £4.00 and says contactless payment is preferred.

- Adult: single £4.00, 10-trip £35.00, 20-trip £65.00.
- Senior or child: single £4.00, 10-trip £30.00, 20-trip £55.00.
- Infant (under 3): single £1.00.
- Family ticket: £25.00 return for two adults and two children.
- Schoolchild: a schooldays-only 40-trip ticket at £60.00.

The fares sheet also carries an older "effective from 30 March 2021" heading, so if in doubt check with the operator.

Bikes

The timetable says bikes are carried free, and the fares sheet says bicycles are carried free of charge, subject to available space. We could not confirm rules for dogs, pushchairs or other items, so ask the operator.

Where it leaves from and getting there

On Hayling Island the ferry leaves from Ferry Point, at the south west corner. Havant Borough Council says the nearest public transport connection on the Hayling side is at Staunton Avenue, about 1 mile east of the ferry terminal.
