Northney

Picturesque north-east Hayling on Chichester Harbour — working marina, watersports schools, and stunning harbour views.

Northney is a small settlement in the north-east of Hayling Island on the shore of Chichester Harbour. It is one of the most picturesque spots on the island — a working marina with views across the harbour to Bosham and Emsworth, surrounded by tidal saltmarsh and reed beds.

Northney Marina is a full-service marina with visitor berths, fuel, chandlery, and boat repair services. It is a popular destination for yachtsmen cruising along the south coast between Portsmouth, Chichester, and beyond.

The Hayling Island Watersports area at Northney is home to several sailing and windsurfing schools, making it a popular starting point for those learning on the water. The Chichester Harbour Conservancy, which manages this internationally important harbour, operates from offices in the area.
