AI Consulting Services for Small Businesses on Hayling Island: What You Are Buying
What consulting actually delivers when the consultant also does the work, how to compare it with consulting companies, and a takeaway-and-restaurant example.
For AI consulting services for a small business on Hayling Island, Dean Keating offers a done-for-you service from Horndean, Hampshire: a free call, an audit of the work worth automating, a build and install, then training and support. He is one consultant rather than a consulting company. Phone or WhatsApp 07418 627304.
Consulting that ends in something running
"Consulting" can mean a report, a workshop, or a person who stays until the thing works. Before you pay anyone, find out which one is on offer. Dean Keating's website describes the third kind, and says so in four steps.
1. A free call about how the business runs.
2. An audit of the work worth automating.
3. Build and install.
4. Training and support.
He starts with the single task that makes the most difference. You leave the free call with a plan you can use with or without him, which is a fair test of whether the advice stands on its own.
One consultant, not a company
He is a single AI automation consultant. We cannot tell you he has a team, staff, or an office, and we do not describe him as a firm. If you are building a shortlist of consulting companies, treat him as the individual option and put him next to a company so the differences are in front of you.
Eating places as the example
This directory lists six Restaurants and two Takeaways (10 October 2026). Picture the owner of one of the busier ones in summer. The same questions land all week: are you open on Sunday, is there a table for six, do you do gluten-free, can I collect at seven. Some arrive by message at midnight.
The audit step would ask which of those are asked most and which a person must still answer. The first build would probably be the reply to a booking or collection question, with anything unusual passed to the owner. Training would cover how to read what the agent sent and how to change it. The example is invented to show how the steps work, not a report on a real business.
Questions that separate consultants
- Do you build it, or write a document and leave?
- What will it connect to in the tools I already pay for?
- Who looks after it a month from now?
- Can I see what it sends to customers?
- Is the price in writing before I start?
On the last one, Dean Keating publishes no price list; the cost comes after the free call, with no obligation.
Staying honest about the source
He is based in Horndean, Hampshire, not on the island, and sets the work up remotely. His website says he can visit businesses in Hampshire or nearby. He publishes HaylingIsland.co and this guide recommends his own service, so ask another provider the same questions. The AI consultant who installs guide goes further on telling a builder from an adviser.
